Sun is breaking through

Summer is almost upon us, with all the merry matters the coming of the season affords us all. For us, it's going to mean some summer studies (at least for Vendela - I will probably leisurely read a book with a good glass of white wine. Or perhaps even a glass of good white wine. Rather wining than whining, I always say). She keeps on struggling with behavioral sciences - a fascinating subject made infinitely less so by the designs of academics. I will be taking some economics, if I find the hunch. Presently, the chances of my taking that course is slim, next to none, and with some of the other news popping up, even more reduced than before. Still, it's good to have something to fall back on. Naturally, I am taking a lot of courses and seminars for my work. Nothing wrong with that but I find I do need some other types of relaxation, and that might just as well be comprised of studies as leisure reading of the same book. Still, the subjects to enroll in are not always easy to find - especially since I am limited to the courses that are given over the internet. So, for the autumn I am planning some criminalistics. Once again, it sounds interesting, but I am quite confident they will find a way to make it severely less so.

On the hair-raising front of the news, we will likely go from hair-raising to hare-raising. The apartment in Norrköping appears to be sold (there is a clause that needs to be fulfilled first on the buyer's part) and so we will be moving. If all goes well, this will be towards the middle of the summer. No more sitting on the suntrap on the balcony, sipping beverages, no sir. We are moving on to weeding, mowing grass and painting facades. But better for all. Closer to work, actually cheaper as well and with a garden where the little goggies can poo... I mean play at will. Not long ago, I reflected on how tired I was of moving - I have forgotten how many places I have lived by now, but hey, one more time can't hurt, can it?

And this will also be the last week of the really, really hectic ones. Now things will stabilize, I will be more at work without the travels and at home more. A really pleasant turn for the better, so I start to plan those photosessions now. First out will be some modelling pics á la Pink-style, and a horrorshoot with a really scary dude! I sum it all up with an "oooooh yeaaaah"! Keep an eye on that Flickr-account, I tell ya!

Mål och moralkompasser Hur använder man materialet?  För moralkompassen, ange siffan för vilken personlighetsegenskap det gäller, och sedan 1 till 10 för var på skalan karaktären befinner sig. 1.1 betyder tex en med lägsta möjliga samvete och 5.10 är en som håller sanningen i högsta möjliga aktning.  Moralkompass  1. Samvete. Visar på nivån av aktning man visar för samhällets normer under rådande tid. På den lägre änden så går man från att vara rent ohövlig till att bli mer brottslig och samvetslöst kanske våldtar, mördar och rånar. På den högre änden så är man artig och lyder inte bara lagen utan "vad som är rätt", såsom seder och normer.  2. Arbetsmoral. På den låga sidan har vi latmaskar som undviker arbete till alla pris och kommer alltid försöka få andra att utföra jobbet åt dem. Kan till och med gå så långt att riskera liv för att maska.   Enchance your roleplaying part II tricks of the trade I was listening to my favorite RPG podcast, "Ain't Slayed Nobody" and was reflecting on the interplay between the character and the player. The pod has a lot of improvisational focus and the players are almost always extravagantly skilled at this concept.  Building on each other  One of the major rules for improvisational theatre is one a good player and Gamemaster should internalize as well - Don't say no! Say yes, but... and add to the story.  If other players are attempting to use something against your character, the natural impulse is to feel degraded or overruled and to resist. Experiment with allowing the manipulation, and allowing that to add to your character.
