Life begins anew with Room-25

Bildresultat för room 25 the gameAs some of you probably already know, life here at Casa Emson has taken a drastic turn. Yesterday was the day we had to say goodbye to our life-companions, Audi and Mozart. Complications with spine, muscles, joints, teeth and more made the pain a decisive factor, and they would simply not get better, or get a better life, so it came to the end for them. That was probably the hardest day of my life and we are all still bleeding internally from the heart for our best friends.

Anyway, questions of life and death have led to us attacking life with renewed persistence and intensity. This autumn will be focusing on training and gaming. The time has come for us to take responsibility for us enjoying and developing ourselves and our identities.

Bildresultat för room 25 the gameFirst up is gaming! Gaming will of course consist of gaming nights, for boardgames and roleplaying games, console games and computer games. This entry is about the first Boardgame Night!

First up is Room-25! Run! Survive! Escape!
In the near future, a reality TV-show called Room 25 goes beyond the limits of good taste in an effort to increase ratings and shock viewers. Candidates are enclosed in a complex of 25 rooms with unexpected and dangerous effects. They will have to trust each other and work together to find Room 25 and escape together quickly. Sometimes, guards infiltrate the prisoners and try to prevent them from escaping by any means necessary...

Suspicion mode (4-6 players) where the prisoners have to escape the complex, made harder by the infiltration of one or more guards, acting as prisoners. Won't this be fun? Competition mode (2-3 players) where each player controls a pair of prisoners trying to escape. The guards are on vacation, but only one team will escape. Exciting, isn't it? Team mode (4-6 players) where all players control one prisoner, and all are set in two teams. First complete team to escape wins. Even if it's easy as that, it's still so much fun! The final mode currently brought up (as I choose to ignore the Solo Mode - that's only for me) is Cooperation Mode (2-6 players). Here, all are prisoners trying to escape, and there are no guards. However, the time allotted to escape is shorter.

For the first gaming night, Cooperation mode will be the focus. If there is a chance for a second game for the night, it will be Suspicion Mode.

Who is up for the gaming night? Location will be determined after the players are - in all likelihood we will be playing at Femöre, but are also open to suggestions. If everyone else of the gamers comes from Norrköping, we are open for playing elsewhere.
And of course, we'll fix up some thematic grub for the evening as well!

Mål och moralkompasser Hur använder man materialet?  För moralkompassen, ange siffan för vilken personlighetsegenskap det gäller, och sedan 1 till 10 för var på skalan karaktären befinner sig. 1.1 betyder tex en med lägsta möjliga samvete och 5.10 är en som håller sanningen i högsta möjliga aktning.  Moralkompass  1. Samvete. Visar på nivån av aktning man visar för samhällets normer under rådande tid. På den lägre änden så går man från att vara rent ohövlig till att bli mer brottslig och samvetslöst kanske våldtar, mördar och rånar. På den högre änden så är man artig och lyder inte bara lagen utan "vad som är rätt", såsom seder och normer.  2. Arbetsmoral. På den låga sidan har vi latmaskar som undviker arbete till alla pris och kommer alltid försöka få andra att utföra jobbet åt dem. Kan till och med gå så långt att riskera liv för att maska. På den höga sidan har vi de som utför sina plikter med vigör, som fyller sina dagar med aktiviteter och träning och underhåll...

  Enchance your roleplaying part II tricks of the trade I was listening to my favorite RPG podcast, "Ain't Slayed Nobody" and was reflecting on the interplay between the character and the player. The pod has a lot of improvisational focus and the players are almost always extravagantly skilled at this concept.  Building on each other  One of the major rules for improvisational theatre is one a good player and Gamemaster should internalize as well - Don't say no! Say yes, but... and add to the story.  If other players are attempting to use something against your character, the natural impulse is to feel degraded or overruled and to resist. Experiment with allowing the manipulation, and allowing that to add to your character.
