Victim mentality and high stress levels

Well, work is work and that is that. Still, stress is an interesting thing. Life stress is perhaps something most of us would never consider. That is has a tendency to amass and when it gathers, it adds to the stress of the moment as well. Positive and negative stress also add up, and finally something snaps. Or rather, can snap. I think there are loads of components to that. First of all, being conscious of the stressors and their inflicting levels is one thing. Being wary of the symptoms and handling them is a good second. And third, well, there's always the extra option of not letting yourself be affected. Here is where the stress threshold comes in. You really have to know your limits, and if you approach them, you have to be able to reduce the stress or start saying no.
My point? Keep a look out, monitor and handle before you snap. Because snapping is bad manners!

A somewhat different concept of a modelshot, a photo montage, using the same backdrop and model in several mixed photos. A great idea I had to test a few years back. Since then, I haven't really expanded on it, but it does have magnificent potential!
So, in preparation for the hectic summer, I tend to fall back to my hobbies and adventures. There is, of course, the main one - photo! Hopefully, between the moving, the summertime of work and the marriage, there will still be time to snap some pictures. There are a lot of good ideas and plans hovering about presently and soon, so soon, they will be turned into results.

Here's another "out of frame" experience, symbolically the modern cowboy blasting into the old editing of a traditional Western-style newspaper.
With that, I am looking forward to this summer, in contrast to the dominating "victim trend" that has been sweeping the civilized world now for some time. Honestly, what is humanity becoming? We are losing the initiative and we are losing the responsibility of our own lives. People get afflicted by circumstances and see themselves as victims. Things happen to us and we moan and groan at the hand that fate has dealt us. I say, act on it! Take charge! Sort things out! First of all, there is really no point at all in groaning about matters that you cannot affect. Concentrate on where you can make a difference. And then, make that difference! That's really all there is to it. There is always, always, the chance to see something positive in anything that happens - it is all a matter of perspective, choice and discipline! Facebook either badly spawns this trend or just severely aggravates it, but jeez... If you want to be a victim, fine, but don't be a hypocrite about it. And step out of MY way! :P With that said, I once again throw myself into traffic :P
