The being of everything and nothing
Life ain't always easy and the path is not always clear. That much I can easily say.
It is now the beginning of april, and things are finally calming down a bit. I can personally see the light at the end of the tunnel, since from the 1st of May and on, I will no longer be CO of Skavsta. That will be somewhat of a relief, as work has been taking a hefty toll out of me lately. Things are about to change, dear friends!
Photography is an ever-changing issue. It used to be my prime hobby but has a somewhat delicate position now in the household, as daughter and wife are somewhat ambivalent, and it is not always easy to follow the current whim. I am still a bit unsure of what direction I will take. There is the choice to keep photography as a small pastime, only to be brought out during travels and special events. There is the choice to pick up the hobby once again, and keep at it. Or there is the choice to hang the cameras on the proverbial peg on the wall (sell them, in all likelyhood) and find a new hobby. Probably writing. We shall have to see on this.
The sliding fish is an interesting kitchen episode, bringing me at length to the subject of cooking. Vendela had taken the time to clean the entire house, eagerly anticipating Thursday, when her mom is coming to visit. She had vacuumed and washed the floors and ended up cleaning up the fridge as well. There were some semi-stale leftovers that she was either putting down the sink or giving to the dogs. I couldn't help watching with an amused grin as all her efforts were in vain, as right behind her back, Audi grabbed a huge fillet of Nile tilapia from his bowl, carried it until he was just behind her (probably wanted to keep her company as he was dining) and promptly dropped it on the floor, splattering pieces all over. He then proceeded to pushing it around while dividing it into more manageable pieces, intent on leaving his inheritance all over the floor. Of course, I couldn't really help laughing so hard my guts cramped up, just by the irony of the situation. Trust me when I say that it didn't help when Vendela took a step back.
Studies is another thing I am taking up again. There has simply not been time, before, as work has occupied almost my every waking moment. For the summer, I have engaged in a small course of creative writing and practical cognition. Then, for the autumn, and quite some time thereafter, my main course of study will be a Bachelor's in criminology, focused on investigations. Ask not why, ask why not :)
Friends and games is another thing I intend to once more enforce! Time to grab this summer by the throat, dear friends, and wring it for all it's worth! And yeah, as a small step in that, I will also try to keep up a bit more with the blog!
